  So I went to Capital Data Recovery. And the … More team here miraculously recovered my data from not only a damage hard drive, but a previously opened one.
  The whole process took about a week and they were extremely communicative the whole time. And they were able to recover ~99% of my data (20+ years of photos and memories)!
